This AQUACREST faucet filter is NSF/ANSI 42 certified to reduce chlorine, taste, and odor and NSF/ANSI 372 certified for lead-free materials; for best start-up, soak the filter in clean tap water for 3 minutes to release trapped air before use. Made with a premium natural coconut activated carbon block, it helps reduce chlorine (up to 97.2%) and can also reduce sediment, large particles, rust, and unpleasant taste and odor based on third-party lab testing (note: it does not reduce TDS).
