Desiring Spiritual Gifts: Pursuing God's Power for His Purpose, (Paperback)

In a world hungry for authenticity and power, the church possesses a divine answer: the supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit. Yet, for many believers, these gifts remain a source of confusion, controversy, or distant theory.

Desiring Spiritual Gifts: Igniting Passion, Power, and Purpose in the Modern Church is a transformative journey into the heart of God's power for His people. Anchored in the profound command of 1 Corinthians 14:1-"Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts"-this book masterfully unravels the biblical blueprint for a Spirit-empowered life.

Author Erickson Edede argues that spiritual gifts are not optional extras for a select few but are essential, grace-filled equipment for every believer. However, they are never an end in themselves. The book's core message is that the pursuit of power must be rooted in the practice of love. Without love, even the most dazzling gifts become nothing more than noise.

This book will guide you to:

Understand the "More Excellent Way" Discover why love is the non-negotiable foundation and motivation for every spiritual gift.

Cultivate Holy Hunger: Learn how to stir a biblical, zealous desire for the gifts God commands you to earnestly seek.

Navigate the Gifts with Confidence: Gain clear, practical insight into the purpose and operation of key gifts, including prophecy, tongues, healing, faith, miracles, words of wisdom and knowledge, and discernment.

Build Up, Not Show Off: Shift your mindset from self-promotion to corporate edification, learning how your unique gifts strengthen the entire Body of Christ.

Step Out in Faith: Move from theory to action with practical steps and encouraging guidance for exercising your gifts in everyday life.

Maintain Godly Balance: Explore how the Spirit's power flows best through channels of order, obedience, and accountability, preventing chaos and ensuring lasting fruit.

More than a theological study, Desiring Spiritual Gifts is a passionate call to action. It is an invitation to move beyond a comfortable, intellectual faith and step into a dynamic partnership with the Holy Spirit. This book is your guide to becoming a vessel aflame-ignited by passion, empowered for purpose, and equipped to reveal God's compassion to a broken world.
