Pearl Izumi wasn't messing around when it came back for the fifth-generation of its PRO Road Cycling Shoes. The brand aimed for a clean, minimalist shoe that takes stiffness to the max thanks to its re-engineered sole that took 24-months of fine detail before being released to us. This lands the 5th-gen at 22% lighter than its predecessor, with every ounce of stiffness and support that we found before.
