The very first Scheepjes CAL was released 10 years ago. Scheepjes is celebrating this with no less than four new projects. What's extra special this time is that you can crochet or knit all these projects! So you can pick either a Crochet-A-Long (CAL) or a Knit-A-Long (KAL). The Dawn Chorus CKAL Experience is a tribute to the most beautiful songbirds. After the beautiful Goldcrest Scarf (item no. CKAL2024-GC) by Martin Up North and the Blue Tit Cushion (item no. CKAL2024- BT) by Liz Barraclough, it's Esther's turn from It's All in a Nutshell. She designed the Bullfinch Blanket, a wonderfully warm and lovely colorful blanket, for the third kit from the Dawn Chorus CKAL series. The blanket is inspired by the bullfinch and the pattern is suitable for beginner, intermediate and experienced crocheters and knitters. You knit or crochet the blanket with a huge Limited-Edition Scheepjes Mega Whirl yarn cake, in join-as-you-go motif-based patterns. The beautiful Mega Whirl with a gradual color gradient holds almost 3 kilometers of yarn! In addition to the yarn, the kit also contains some nice extras. The Scheepjes CKAL Bullfinch Blanket kit contains the following items: 1 x Scheepjes Mega Whirl (60% Cotton and 40% Acrylic) of 666 grams, holding 2998 meters of yarn 1 x tote bag 1 x set of 3 postcards The crochet and knitting pattern is available for free via the Scheepjes website in Dutch, English (UK & US) and German and via the official Scheepjes Facebook groups. Of course, you will also need knitting or crochet hooks as well as accessories for both versions. These are not included in the kit. For the crocheted version these are: 1 x crochet hook in 3.00mm size stitch markers And for the knitted version: 1 x pair of single pointed knitting needles or circular needle in 3.25mm size 1 x locking stitch marker 1 x closed stitch marker When the blanket is ready and has been blocked, the crocheted version measures 100 x 140cm, while the knitted version measures 110 x 150cm. Each kit is packaged in a sturdy black cardboard box with white print measuring 22 x 22 x 14cm. Supplied per 1 piece.
